How To Set-up Custom Image In PHILZ

"Setup custom image in PHILZ"


Procedure:-
1)Go to your sd card & create a folder named "clockworkmod".

2)Open 'clockworkmod' folder & create a sub folder named as "custom_res".

3)Then copy a .png format image into the sub folder 'custom_res'.(Philz only support .png format images).

4)Now reboot into recovery.
5)Go to recovery 'setting'/'GUI preferences'.



6)Then Click on 'Change background'.

7)Now tap on 'image from /sdcard1' ,Now u can see your pic name in there,just tap on it.



8)Done...Your recovery background is changed......

By changing the background if your recovery menu words not shows clearly then change their colours & menu colour in GUI preferences..


Note:-The image u want to choose your background must be in .png formt other ways PHILZ don't detect that image..

How To Flash Custom Recovery




Steps:-(XDA Guide)
1)At first download "Rashr" & a custom recovery PHILZ./ CWM / TWRP / CTR / STOCK.
2)Extract downloaded "recovery.zip" & Remember the place .
3)Now install "Rashr" app & open it.
4)When u open rashr u can see "recovery option" Tap on it.
5)When u tap recovery option a pop-up will come,Now tap "Other from storage".
6)Now navigate to the location where u extract the 'recovery.zip'.
7)Now Tap on "recovery.img" & a pop-up will come,now tap "Yes,please".
8)Wait almost 3sec & a new pop-up will comes,Now tap " Yes,please"
9)Done........Now your phone boot into your recovery.



Note:-If u want to go to your recovery then swith-off your phone  then press vol+ & power button in same time.....

How to unpack system

Only for those porters who want to port stock rom
of other device
How to extract system.img




Requirements:
* Windows XP or newer
* Ext4 Unpacker ( Download link )
* Ext2Explore ( Download link)
* System.img of your choice




Step 1:
The first thing you need to do is to launch the
Ext4 Unpacker software and then you need to
select the open button.
Step 2:
Select the system.img you want to extract.
Step 3:
Press the "Save as EXT4" button.
Step 4:
Select where you want to save the .ext4 file and
enter a name with the extension .ext4, then
press Save.
Step 5:
Wait while the ext4 image is being unpacked.
Step 6:
Launch the ext2explore software as a
Administrator (Do that or it wont work!) and then
select File then Open Image.
Step 7:
Select the file you saved earlier with Ext4
Unpacked software and then select "Open".
Step 8:
Now highlight the file you just have imported in
EXT2Explore and then press the "Save" button.
Step 9:
Select where you want the unpacked system files

to be placed.
